Doodling for Google

Monday, February 9th, 2009 in laptops by Jayne Wesner

Google has the right idea (of course!). As if they aren’t well known enough, they are now on their 4th year of offering a contest to K-12 graders to draw an image that Google will use as their home page. The theme this year is “What I Wish for the World.” You know, something along the lines of World peace, ending hunger, ending the war, etc. This is an incredible opportunity for school age children to learn about different current events and apply that knowledge. Plus, what better way to reinforce Google’s image than with the people that will be using it the most?

Now, what better way to Doodle for Google than on a brand new laptop. right now you can choose between a Sony Vaio CR, Dell XPS M1530 or an Apple MacBook Air. Then, when you or your child wins the Doodle for Google contest you can take a screen shot of their design being used by Google and have that sas your desktop background.

Social Media and the Inauguration

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 in Free Stuff, laptops by Jayne Wesner

Social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Hulu are expecting a major increase in traffic over the next couple of days. For instance, according to the LaTimesBlog, “For the CNN-Facebook live video stream of the event, technicians are building support for more than 1 million simultaneous viewers…Facebook is separately adding servers to its own website to increase bandwidth.” Basically, things are quite a bit different then they were even 4 years ago when President Bush was re-elected. I guess it really is a time of change.

So, with all of the coverage that will be taking place to cover the swearing in of our 44th President, Barack Obama, the only real question is - how are you going to go about watching it? Should you get a free Flat Screen television? Or would you rather watch it with a free laptop? It’s your choice but act now to get your free laptop or flat screen television! Watch everything with class and style.

Laptops have got to be among one of the greatest inventions of all time. Maybe it’s because I work in the Interactive Industry, but I honestly don’t know what I would do without my laptop. It’s my picture album, Internet source, file cabinet for all of my college and post-grad studies and much more so basically, it’s my life line.

Come up for Sky Blue MacBook Air!

Friday, January 16th, 2009 in laptops by Chastity Bean

Evidently thin is definitely in for this sleek little number but don’t let it’s small size fool you! The new MacBoook Air is beautifully ultra-thin, ultra-portable, and ultra unlike anything else. Are you into graphics design as a career or just love to alter photos to make it look you were actually on the red carpet with Madonna? Come on now, I know I’m not the only one playing with images like that! The new MacBook Air has 4x graphics performance boost and an even larger hard drive. You know what they say about big hard drives right? You have more storage capacity of course and more power for everyday tasks. What did you think I was going to say?

Here are some more great details on the Sky Blue MacBook Air. The innovative now-you-see-it, now-you don’t port hatch flips down to real (and closes to hide) all the ports you really need like a head phone jack, a USB port, etc. This new feature is awesome! Now you don’t have to walk around with all of your ports out in the open!

In addition the MacBook Air also includes a built-in camera so smartly integrated you will hardly notice it’s there. The camera and iChat software make video chatting easy anywhere there’s a wireless network.

Last but certainly not least, keep up with the latest technology and throw out that dinosaur of a computer. If you don’t know if your computer is a dinosaur or not, just answer this question, “Does the name of your computer rhyme with Mandy?” Better yet, can you still see the brand of your computer on your computer? What do you have to lose? If anything, you will gain a new state-of-the-art laptop and regain your electronic freedom again! Come on now, you deserve it! So, click here and participate in this 3 minute survey and your new Sky Blue MacBook Air will be on it’s way to you and you can say goodbye to this dinosaur!
