Favorite Websites

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 in Gift Cards, Home Improvement by Jayne Wesner

I am constantly on the Internet. I’m on it while I’m working and while I’m home watching television. When I’m filling out surveys and it says: How many hours do you spend per week on the Internet, I’m the one with around 40+ hours logged in. I wish I could say that was all while working but really, it’s not. In my opinion, the Internet is among one of the best inventions. It really is something that I know I could do without but I would rather not think about actually having to.

So, what I would like to do is just give a shot-out to my favorite websites, a top 10 if you will. Check them out and let me know your thoughts. Also, feel free to let me know what your favorite websites are if they aren’t listed.

1. www.ILikeTotallyLoveIt.com - This is a great site for those in eCommerce. If you have cool items that you are trying to sell, here is a great place to promote it. Warning though: this site is not good for promoting the sale of your regular run-of-the-mill products, they have to have something unique about them. For instance, the “Yes We Can” T-shirt that is shaped like a Campbell’s Soup can but for President Obama or the Run DC t-shirt. Don’t worry, it’s not all political, those are just two that stood out to me.

2. www.Facebook.com - Facebook is a great place to meet new people and catch up with those you have lost touch with. It’s part of the social networking hype that has caught hold of practically everyone on the Internet. We at WowThatsFree even have a Facebook page.

3. www.Twitter.com - Yet another social networking site. On this site you are able to tell your friends and followers what you are doing, in 140 characters or less. So, no need to worry about saying too much or having to read up on tons of information, it’s 140 characters or less. It’s quick and easy, and most importantly, it’s fun!
4. www.Pogo.com - If you are mildly into gaming then this is the site for you. They have everything from slot machine games to bingo to different action games. It’s a great site to waste away a rainy Sunday or when you can’t fall asleep at night. There is a membership fee but it’s so minimal (around $5/month) that it’s really worth it.
5. www.Ebay.com - This site has been a personal favorite for a number of years. When I’m trying to find something and want a good price on it, I search on ebay first. I’ve found everything from puppy wee pads to articles of clothing. I’ve even been able to sell a few items on there as well. It’s a great money making site and great way to spend some money.
6. www.PerezHilton.com - I have to have a blog as one of my favorites, considering that’s how I love to spend my time. Perez Hilton is a very famous celebrity blogger. He gets the news out before everyone else. His writing is humorous and it’s nice to be able to know all the details of all of your favorite celebrities. Perez Hilton leaves nothing to the imagination.
7. www.Gmail.com - Being a huge fan of Google, I had to give their new email props. I use gmail for all of my personal email needs. It’s fast and the setup is very unique, making it very user friendly.
8. www.Google.com - If you don’t know about Google, it’s time to crawl out from under the rock you’ve been hiding under for so long. It’s said that around 85% of users are using Google as their main search engine. It’s got the majority of the search results and there are so many people advertising on Google that it’s questionable why you would search anywhere else.
9. www.Pandora.com -  When I’m working I’ve got to have music playing. My taste in music is very different from the majority of the people I work with so I’m usually found with my headphones on and my music blaring. Pandora is the perfect place to find the music that you would like to listen to because you are able to set up stations to be exactly what you want to hear. You simply type in the artist or type of music and it sets up a station playing that type of music.
10. www.HomeDepot.com - I had to add this site in as I can’t seem to leave this place when I go visit the actual store, without spending a ton of money. Maybe that’s due to being a new home owner, but the store makes me feel like a kid in a candy store! You can get everything from new windows to blinds to paint to tools and much more! It’s just a handy store! So, of course with the mention of this store I have to mention that I found the $1000 gift card for Home Depot. So nice! That just took my expenses down quite a bit!

Monday, February 16th, 2009 in Gift Cards by Jayne Wesner

President Barack Obama was visiting Elkhart, Indiana this past Monday. He was there to help reassure the people that help is on the way. Elkhart, Indiana is an area where teh unemployment rate is around 15%! This area has lost jobs faster than anywhere else in the United States. So, being that it is definitely time for change, President Barack Obama is doing his part to help those unemployed, especially in places such as Elkhart, Indiana.

So now that President Obama is doing his part, I feel that it is my turn to do my part. So, although I am not able to bring the United States out of this economic crisis on my own, I can help out some. What I’ve done is found a website that is giving out free $500 Visa cards. That can buy quite a few groceries, that’s for sure! Plus, besides the fact that it’s not a scam, it’s also not something where you have to win a drawing in order to get it.

Coke Vs. Pepsi

Friday, February 6th, 2009 in Gift Cards by Jayne Wesner

In a taste test of Coke Vs. Pepsi, how liekly are you to be able to tell the difference? I would like to think that I would be able to tell the difference, but honestly I’m not sure if I would be able to. I have always been more of a Coke drinker than Pepsi but I’m not sure if it’s because of the taste but actually more just what I was brought up drinking and accustomed to. I’ve realized I call all caffeinated drinks Coke, even when I am indeed drinking a Pepsi.

What about you? Which do you prefer, Coke or Pepsi? Take this survey to tell which you prefer and you can get a $500 Visa gift card that is good practically everywhere!

Economy Boost!

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009 in Gift Cards by Jayne Wesner

The economy is really taking a beating. Many different people are filing unemployment which is leaving them in a state of despair. Although I have searched and searched the internet, I’ve yet to find an actual cure for the economy. But I have found a bit of a personal band aid.

Right now you can get a $500 gtift card to either Target, Lowes, Toys R Us or Victoria’s Secret. Although this doesn’t sound like much, it really could be. Just think if you took the time to take survey, received your $500 gift card then told 5 of your friends. Then, they went and did the same thing and so on and so forth. Next thing you know you don’t need any economic stimulus package - you just found your own!

So, start saving money today. Take this simple survey to get $500 towards the store of your choice!

Target Layoffs and what we can do to help…

Monday, February 2nd, 2009 in Gift Cards by Jayne Wesner

Let’s face it, the economy is not doing well these days. Many top companies are finding themselves struggling to stay afloat. Many are filing bankruptcy, going out of business or hanging on by a thread. It’s time to change this, ladies and gentlemen. Barack Obama is doing his part but let’s not let him do this all on his own. It’s up to us to find ways to help the economy as well. I became very concerned when I saw that one of my all-time favorite stores, Target, was announcing a series of layoffs. Although the only layoffs right now are at their corporate center, could this be just the beginning?

Let’s hope not! But, what can you do? Well it’s simple really. Spend some money there! Now you are probably thinking that you would gladly spend some money at Target if you had some money to spend. Well, now you don’t have to worry about spending your own hard-earned cash as you can spend someone elses. I’m not condoning stealing by any means but was thinking you could visit websites like this and complete a couple offers to get a free $1000 gift card to Target. It’s simple. It’s legit. And most importantly, it’s free!

Alaskans Could Use Some Help

Friday, January 30th, 2009 in Gift Cards by Jayne Wesner

Mount Redoubt is getting very close to erupting. Alaskans are on an orange warning and air traffic controllers have been put on watch. Mount Redoubt has been calm for about the last twenty years. The last volcanic eruption was Back in December, 1989.

So what can you do if you are an Alaskan? Well besides possibly packing up your things, I would recommend to start saving up. Yes, start saving some money. Better yet, take advantage of such offers as this where you can get a free $500 gift card to places like Target, Lowes, Toys R Us and Victoria’s Secret. Although the last two aren’t ideal for the Mount Redoubt situation, the first two could really help a person in need.

What do you have to lose? Get yours now to start preparing.

Pickin’ and Choosin’

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009 in Gift Cards by Jayne Wesner

I just found one of my favorite offers so far this year. If you complete some simple requirements (quick survey) you will receive a free $500 gift card to one of these four stores: Target, Lowes, Toys R Us or Victoria’s Secret. Now I’ll admit that I could use one $500 gift card for each of the stores but if I must choose my favorite, I would have to go with Target. I can find pretty much everything I need (and don’t need) at Target.

But, don’t let my opinion sway you. If you are trying to enhance your home then a $500 gift card from Lowe’s es exactly what you need. Or, if you are looking to increase your wardrobe then Victoria’s Secret could be for you. That’s right! Victoria’s Secret has much more than just the lacy lingerie. They have pajamas, dress suits, shoes, casual clothing, lotion, makeup and much more! Lastly, if you have children then Toys R Us could be the store for you!

So, go ahead. Click here, answer a few very simple survey questions and the gift card of your choice will be sent directly to you!
