Target Layoffs and what we can do to help…

Monday, February 2nd, 2009 in Gift Cards by Jayne Wesner

Let’s face it, the economy is not doing well these days. Many top companies are finding themselves struggling to stay afloat. Many are filing bankruptcy, going out of business or hanging on by a thread. It’s time to change this, ladies and gentlemen. Barack Obama is doing his part but let’s not let him do this all on his own. It’s up to us to find ways to help the economy as well. I became very concerned when I saw that one of my all-time favorite stores, Target, was announcing a series of layoffs. Although the only layoffs right now are at their corporate center, could this be just the beginning?

Let’s hope not! But, what can you do? Well it’s simple really. Spend some money there! Now you are probably thinking that you would gladly spend some money at Target if you had some money to spend. Well, now you don’t have to worry about spending your own hard-earned cash as you can spend someone elses. I’m not condoning stealing by any means but was thinking you could visit websites like this and complete a couple offers to get a free $1000 gift card to Target. It’s simple. It’s legit. And most importantly, it’s free!

Top 10 Target Buys

Just for giggles, I went to Target.com to see what their latest deals and sales offeres were. Wow! What a mistake. Just by going to their home page I immediately found a couple things I really want, although in my mind I need them. So I’ve decided to put a top 10 list together of things I would buy if I were given a free $1000 gift card to Target.

  1. Nintendo Wii
  2. 47″ Phillips LCD HdTV
  3. A ton of movies
  4. Desk for my spare bedroom
  5. Patio furniture
  6. Many, many groceries
  7. A new stereo
  8. An entertainment center
  9. Many small kitch appliances
  10. Games for my new Nintendo Wii

It’s endless really. Plus, $1000 actually goes a long way at Target. So I would be able to get more than 1 item on my little wish list. You’ve gotta love Target!

So, what would you buy if you were given a $1000 gift card to Target?

Pickin’ and Choosin’

I just found one of my favorite offers so far this year. If you complete some simple requirements (quick survey) you will receive a free $500 gift card to one of these four stores: Target, Lowes, Toys R Us or Victoria’s Secret. Now I’ll admit that I could use one $500 gift card for each of the stores but if I must choose my favorite, I would have to go with Target. I can find pretty much everything I need (and don’t need) at Target.

But, don’t let my opinion sway you. If you are trying to enhance your home then a $500 gift card from Lowe’s es exactly what you need. Or, if you are looking to increase your wardrobe then Victoria’s Secret could be for you. That’s right! Victoria’s Secret has much more than just the lacy lingerie. They have pajamas, dress suits, shoes, casual clothing, lotion, makeup and much more! Lastly, if you have children then Toys R Us could be the store for you!

So, go ahead. Click here, answer a few very simple survey questions and the gift card of your choice will be sent directly to you!

Target: The Store That Has It All!

I don’t know about you, but I can’t seem to go into a Target store without spending at least $50 - and it’s usually more! Everything in that store seems to be screaming “Buy me! Buy me!” I go in for toilet paper and walk out with Kleenex, a cd, cleaning supplies, make-up and a cute new shirt. Notice I did not walk out with the toilet paper I went to Target to buy. And so the whole process continues, rinse and repeat.

But I think I”ve found the way to enter the store without spending a week’s paycheck - spend someone else’s money. No, I’m not saying you should run out and steal a credit card. Right now you can complete a very brief survey and we will send you a $1,000 gift card! While $1,000 would not get you very far if you were at a car lot, it will at Target. Off hand I can’t think of anything at Target that is over $1,000. Plus, I know with that kind of money I would walk out very satisfied. Unfortunately though, I can’t take advantage of that deal, but you can!!

So, do yourself a favor. Go here, complete the quick survey then buy yourself the holiday gifts you asked for and didn’t receive. Good luck with everything and Happy Holidays!
